The comedy of picking up kid's from school

I don't know if anyone has ever ran across this when they go pick their young kids from school, but some of the conversation between parents sometimes are just too much.

I pick up my girlfriend's son from kindergarten most days, and I always take the opportunity while waiting on the kids to be dismissed to people-watch and observe some of the hilarity that ensues.  The other day I had walked up and took my normal place in the back of the parent pick-up area at the elementary school.  I don't talk to anyone usually because I don't know these people and on top of that they all look like meth heads (which is why he's going to a different school next year).  Next to me, there was a young lady with two smaller children plus a baby in a stroller.  She was engaged with another young lady about the trials and tribulations in regards to fathers who don't pay their child support. I can sympathize because my girlfriend's son's father doesn't pay any of his support, but we are OK otherwise.  Anyhow, so these two are talking about how much their individual ex's pay a week ($93 for the one with the three kids, and $26 for the other), and this guy who had been standing outside of the area kind of obviously eavesdropping sidles over and exclaims that he pays like $500 a week for his kids, which must have impressed these ladies because I noticed that their body language turned favorably towards this guy and they all started joking about child support and the whatnot.  Then it dawned on me:  this guy was hitting on these moms.

I mean, I guess if you're a single guy and you like the mothers, then I suppose trying to pick them up at an elementary school is a good idea.  As I observed, I overheard the exchange of phone numbers, where they frequent on the weekends, etc.   What was even more comical about this was I couldn't remember whether I had seen this guy before.  I had to bite my lip at this thought because I would have started laughing out loud.  Imagine, someone actually going to pick up women at an elementary school.

Also, I love it when the kid's one friend's parents show up wearing their matching pikachu hats, classic.
